Are you changing careers, have a gap in your work history or are you applying for a job that doesn’t match your most recent position? Then a functional resume might be one for you.
To see an example of a functional resume, check out Chris Attwater’s resume below—or you can download the functional resume template in Word and personalize it for you. And if you need more tips, check out a list of sample resumes by industry.
We would encourage you to begin with notes and develop them into a rough draft. Think back over your experience and jot down highlights of your life, education and work experience. At this point don’t worry about the exact words or dates, concentrate on your accomplishments. As your record each positive point it should provide you with confidence to proceed.
